NTPC Farakka Sports Council organised the Departmental Football Match(Final) and a friendly Day/night Cricket Match for its employees on 5th March 2023 at Netaji Outdoor Stadium.

The events were graced by Sh. Sanjiv Kumar CGM (Farakka) and Smt. Maya Singh President (Udita Ladies Club), in the august presence of Sh. NK Sharma GM (Operation), Sh. Vivek Jha GM (EMD/C&I), Sh. PV Kameswara Rao GM (Maint.), Sh. PK Jena GM (ADM), senior members of Udita Ladies Club and Representatives of Unions/Association.

The departmental football match final was played between Red Bulls v/s Blue Warriors, out of which Red Bulls won the match by 3-2 goals.

The Day/night Cricket Match was played between HOP-XI team, led by CGM Farakka v/s GM(O&M)-XI team, led by GM (Operation). HOP-XI team batted first and made 65 runs in 10 overs. GM (O&M)-XI team won the match by 8 wickets as they made 66 runs in 9.5 overs. Sh. Shishir Nayak, Sr. Manager (Operation) emerged as the Man of the Match.

Both the matches showcased some wonderful sportsmanship and team spirit among the employees.
